The texture of this wood is medium, while its grain is usually interlocked.

Sapwood and heartwood are clearly demarcated. The heartwood is characterised by a variation of colours: they can range from a yellowish brown to a reddish-brown and can darken if exposed to light. The sapwood varies from a whitish colour to a pinkish white.

Both its workability and drying process don’t present any particular difficulties.

Tali wood is primarily utilised for exterior applications such as bridges, poles, and railings due to its durability and weather resistance.

In general construction, it serves for beams, flooring, and frames, as well as in outdoor spaces like terraces, gardens, and porches where its resilience is valued.

Tali is also widely employed in container construction, particularly for truck bodies and flooring, owing to its strength and suitability for heavy-duty use.
